as a kid for me it was Muppet Babies, Rugrats and Doug. Some Rockos Modern Life killed too.

Ive never been into adult cartoons(Family Guy, Simpsons, King of the Hill etc..) but here recently a buddied hipped me to FRISKY DINGO..... to me its the funniest cartoon ive ever watched and its up there with the funniest non-cartoon shows ive ever watched. only 2 seasons, and the episodes need to be watched in order. you can get each season for like $10 a piece.

so what did yal grow up watching and what about now?

Muppet Babies was my all time favorite cartoon growing up. I was also a huge fan of Smurfs, Alvin and the Chipmunks, Gummi Bears, He Man and Jem.

Now I love Charlie and Lola and thanks to the OT have started to watch Phinneus and Pherb (sp?). I also like Teacher's Pet (or whatever the cartoon was with Nathan Lane as the dog)

If it's all-time, then it's likely South Park.

Toons from when I was a kid are up there too though. Like the Smurfs, Transformers, He-Man, Flintstones, etc.

A topic that comes up a lot around here, but it's always fun to reminisce...

Overall, I probably watched TMNT and GI Joe more than anything else. (And Transformers and Voltron)

But none of those were the best cartoon of all-time:

1. Batman: The Animated Series - Flat out incredible for its time and appearance on television. Still the best version of Batman ever. Voices - Perfect. Animation - A great send up to art deco and the like. Great feel, wonderful stories (Who doesn't love the Grey Ghost episode, so awesome). Just awesome.

2. Animaniacs - Probably the smartest cartoon for kids ever, even though it did contain a little girl who said "I love you, buh bye," as the entire punchline for a vignette. WB was having fun here and it shows.

3. Looney Tunes - Supercially racist characters have never been funnier.

4. DuckTales - Just damn good really.

5. Darkwing Duck - A great character, and set up for superheroes.

Honorable Mentions:
Gargoyles - A surprisingly sophisticated cartoon for kids, I have no idea where Disney got the idea for this, but it was vastly underrated, and still is.

Tale Spin - A tribute to pulp novels that kids have never and will never read? Awesome.

Garfield and Friends

Ren and Stimpy

BTW, does anyone remember this cartoon:

No one I know ever watched it, I thought it was spectacularly fun.

Forgot about this one. One of the most underrated cartoons of all time.Surprised they havent thought about trying to make this one into a movie, which I dunno if it would translate well, but if done right would be awesome IMO. Maybe like a Del Toro type world?

"A pianist!"
