Thoughts? We are getting a 2nd season right?
As far as the Aliens franchise, I've not watched them all. Maybe the the 1st 3 with Sigourney Weaver. I punched out after that. So I really wasn't even much interested in this thinking it was going to be rehash of the same stuff but on earth. Then I heard somebody discuss some of the story lines in it and gave it shot a few months back.
Boy was I surprised. It was absolutely awesome in its complex story lines of morals, man playing god, ethics of downloading kids brains onto a new robotic body, the hubris of scientist, and then the mystery of the creatures on the crashed spacecraft.
It really makes you think and try to get a grasp on AI and how far is too far for man to push.
I'm so glad I gave this a shot. It was nothing I expected and loved it.

They just started filming season 2. Mid to late 2027 would be my guess for the premiere.

It was good but if you watch it for "Alien" reasons you'll hate it.

I liked it up until the pet xenomorph. Interesting show but that last episode was the weakest one.

I liked it for the most part but the fact that they ended it the way they did w/o knowing if they were getting a second season or not is insane to me.

Maybe I need to go back and watch the last episode. It didn't strike as being terrible but it certainly made me wonder who I should be pulling for. Androids, the 2x rich leaders pushing the edges of tech, humans, alien, etc.
Nobody is just in this.
I enjoyed the questions about man, AI, ethics it sort of forces you to think about. The conundrum of who to pull for or get behind. It blurs so many lines....lines that as humans we will have to come to grips with.

The ship episode was incredible and could’ve been its own Alien movie. It was that good. The show had some big hits AND some big misses as well. Overall I really enjoyed it and I love me some Sydney Chandler. Takes an absolute dime to pull off that stupid haircut

I am a huge alien nerd. Somehow I let this go by me though. Should I give it a go? My TV time is incredibly limited.

Absolutely Caro81, give it a shot. It is a great story that has so many facets and avenues that make you question humanity and it's hubris. It is not a humans vs alien where there is a definitive good vs bad. I loved it because of this complexity and not just an Alien vs man.

I was very hyped for this show and it exponentially fell apart
