I kinda give them some leeway with Tootles' death because he was a dumb kid, of course he would do something stupid. It was set up by Kirsh explaining stuff to him like he was an 8-year-old.
The stuff with Nibs and Wendy - yeah, that was an example of why the haters complain about people doing dumb shite in this show. I feel like it ain't Alien if people unless people are doing really dumb shite.
I'm still enjoying the series. I think it's pretty effective and tense, the acting is good and it looks like it cost a fortune to make.

Didn’t watch S2 of TLOU after ep 1 and didn’t post about it. You people are liars and can’t discuss the actual shows outside of circle jerking for each other just to have your own echo chambers. You lash out at anyone who doesn’t share your opinions and it’s 100% of the time with Disney products. With anything else it’s fine to debate but when it comes to Disney you must be expelled if you don’t worship it.

I also checked out of the games when Druckmann revealed his true colors). Don't really care about TLOU anymore anyway.
When we do watch it (because it's the property we grew up on), we're told "you can't post here if you didn't like it, you shouldn't even watch it."

Sci-Fi fans tend to be Sci-Fi fans because they like that kind of stuff but it needs to have a level of intelligence or at least adhere to the rules of its own story/universe. The people who like this know the Alien brand as popular and don’t care about the Sci-Fi aspect of it. They just follow the story and iconography and it looks cool so it’s great to them. Fine nobody’s telling them they should leave the board but the show is stupid to Allen’s actual fans.

Probably has a lot to do with it. I’ve watched and loved almost all of the Alien films, including the ones people don’t like. Ridley lost me a bit with Covenant, but it was still human and told a bigger story.
But this? They’re almost all synthetics the majority of the show so I don’t give a damn about them. They killed the little kids already and implanted their memories, they’re already dead and these are just machines. It isn’t their true consciousness, it’s artificial.
There are no stakes. Am I supposed to care about her whiny arse brother? Don’t get me started with the amount of screen time the Indian kid is getting.
This is trying too hard to make a point about evil billionaires and it’s taking so, fricking, long with their drawn out and boring dialogue. The only halfway decent episodes were some of 1 (bored to death most of it) and 5.
Alien has always been about the human element and it is nonexistent in this show.

Exactly, there are no stakes and the synthetics don’t even behave correctly because they built in a dipshit fail safe with the trans human BS. What yaboyLSU said about the sequence with the sperm count guy was spot on, surveillance only works when it needs to, plot armor and contrivances are so bad you can predict things precisely to the scene. Boy cavalier was born what 40 something years after the maginot left earth but he knows everything about it while the more imposing Weyland corp knows nothing about his company for the sake of eliminating all the advanced tech we’re seeing in this show. It’s a mess top to bottom.
