So if Disney owns Hulu/FX, does that mean the eyeball is a new Disney Princess?

I’m here for it.

I thought it was awesome probably my favorite episode so far.

Same. Alien meets Among Us. The eyeball alien is a badass going toe to toe with the xenomorph. If something happens to Kirsh it will inherit the title of my favorite character. I was laughing when it was trying to warn the science officer the bug was escaping. I’m still going with the underdog mysterious plant alien as the one to take out Kavalier, but I would not be disappointed if the eyeball gets the kill.

The set design for the space ship rivals anything we saw in the movies. I’m glad we had a whole episode to explore it.

I thought it was actually distracting her so she wouldn’t see her water get contaminated.

lol you’re asking why this show did something? None of it makes any sense on any level but the princesses like it so it doesn’t have to.

I just rewatched that scene and you’re probably right. I initially thought it was pointing instead of tapping.

I thought it was a pretty good episode too. I like seeing more about all the other aliens. Some of them are almost more intriguing than the "Alien".

The one major complaint I had is the Marvel humor laced throughout. It would be so much better if the characters actually took it seriously instead of quipping at inappropriate moments. I can forgive the kid synth characters in the earlier episodes since they are kids... okay, fine. This episode was the perfect opportunity to let the horror breathe, but they just refused to do so and it ended up being a distraction for me personally.

I can get past the odd banter at times.. my only real critique that seems to happen a lot is the xeno taking 3-4 business days to attack in some situations.

In this one the xeno literally walked up behind the captain within a foot or so and just sat there menacingly and then let her run away?

Ep 5 easily the best so far

I’ve seen all the movies once each over the years so maybe it’s just me, but the Xenomorph just feels……off. Like too robotic and rubbery. Less lifelike than previous iterations.

Awesome episode.

The Alien was goofy but thats just being conditioned to classic Alien scenes where some things happened more off screen and these allowed some development.

Love seeing more back story on the crew and creatures.

IMO it was a good episode. Definitely shifts the perspective on Morrow.

Agreed. Not that I love him manipulating children, but it definitely changes your opinion of him.

Great episode. Normally I’d be pissed at a flashback but that actually improves the plot. The eye thingy attacking the xenomorph with a human body wasn't something i had on my bingo card.

Highly enjoyable little hour long Alien Movie.

I was anti-eye-thingy until the sarcastic tapping from inside the jar. Now I'm pro-parasight.

They found a way to give the damn thing a personality.

I enjoyed the episode. Only gripe was the captain is not a good actress. They could have found someone better than her.

My wife kept yelling, "SHE'S HORRIBLE" at the TV. I suggested that maybe she was suppose to be a shitty captain.

And I think Boy Kavalier is the love child of Phil Spector and Steve from Blues Clues.

Same, rooting for that thing to wreck some shite now. And also rooting for Morrow now and can understand why he turned his back on that idiotic crew after that episode

Had that episode been twice as long it could have been released in theaters. It felt like a movie.

I'm curious about the octopus eye. Was it trying to warn her or distract her? I liked how it attacked the xenomorf That was a good episode.

Hawley said in the podcast that it was distracting her.

Octopi are escape artists and they definitely modeled this after that

I can’t remember but did they say all these monsters were collected from the same planet? The eye and xenos seem to have some history, went right after it.

At first I thought the eye thing was calling for help. I am guessing it did that to bring the xenomorph in to use as a distraction?
