Who gets to tell Red that she's not knocked up?
Or, does she think someone got with her? Maybe a repressed memory of her human self?
This isn't going to end well, is it?

I'm taking that as a case of her mind rejecting her new carrier and expect she'll get "de-tuned" like how they temporarily turned Wendy's hearing off and then adjusted it.

She didn’t do well under pressure and being attacked by the eyeball squid thingy

Again, this is monumentally stupid for an irrational super strong synth

I don’t think that’s happened in any Ridley Scott movie.

Do you?

quote:My bad, you're right. In Covenant and Prometheus they don't even bother with the glass, just let the aliens in their eyes and ear holes with zero protective measures at all. Much smarter.

Having to change the goal post just to make your point? Wow.
Again, having seen the originals in theater, I don’t recall that ever even happening. Not in Alien or Aliens.
Alien, they never got a chance to contain it. Thus the movie happened.
In Aliens, the dirtbag Burke let the face huggers out of their containers, otherwise they wouldn’t have escaped.
Actually, what you are describing is a whole new level of stupid. Something I would have expected to see in Jurassic World.

But I was just exaggerating to make a point. Alien movies, particularly Covenant and Prometheus, are notorious for supposedly smart people doing incredibly stupid things. No surprise Alien Earth is following that tradition. I didn't expect y'all to be all literal and shite.

Seems like the further we get away from the original two movies the dumber this franchise gets.

It’s the stupid argument of “because x is bad everything should be bad”. They use it for every topic and it’s idiotic.

It certainly has interesting aesthetics, and some good actors. But the story is crap.

What good is a flashback episode? Every member the crew is dead except the crazy synth.

I just finished the second episode and this show is all over the place. Feels like they gave a 12 year old crack and showed him 30 minutes of clips from all the alien movies and told him to write a series and then they made it in the most boring tedious way possible.

I suppose to make sense of why they are all dead, and how it all went down. I am at least somewhat curious.

I think we get Morrow's story. At least see who freed the aliens.
Also the trailer does show us who gets the face hugger next. I missed it in first watch.

IMO it was a good episode. Definitely shifts the perspective on Morrow.
Loved seeing more of the eyeball monster. Really raises some interesting questions about its intellectual abilities (like it trying to warn the initial scientist from of the breach, attacking the Xenomorph).
And if you didn’t hate Boy K enough, it adds a little mustard there too.

We get to see more of the creatures and how the ship crashed. I thought it was awesome probably my favorite episode so far.

Agreed.
This felt the most ‘Alien’ episode so far…
It’s cool they made a space episode where it goes to shite.
Really cool blend of the xeno and the other monsters.
The eyeball thing is wicked lmao.
I felt bad for the female captain…
Boy Genius will die in a very interesting way I expect.
