Would play $100 to see a boxing match of DeNiro vs. Trump. Trump would deck his crying arse in first round.

I don't know how much was makeup, but he looked pretty rough in Saints of Newark.

One of the best laughing memes to grace these fine boards too
No doubt, I also love this underrated one telling about when Ty Cobb asked to play at The Field of Dreams
Big Liotta fan, Goodfellas and FoD obvious ones, but No Escape, Narc, and Copland also outstanding performances by him.

RIP

Heck of an actor. I would ALWAYS watch whatever he was in. Kinda scary though, in some of his roles.

Was he a chronic smoker? For some reason, I remember him as one.

WTF does that have to do with anything? The man can’t even have a RIP thread without that type of BS.

If you look at his IMDB, he has 126 acting credits.
I remember hearing him interviewed once and they asked him about all of the movies he had done. He told a story about how his kid was in the living room flipping through the channel guide to find something to watch. And she said "hey Dad, here's a movie you're in... it's called such and such and is about XYZ..." And Liotta said, "no, no that's wrong I was never in a movie called that and I never made a movie about that stuff."
Then his daughter said "well I'm watching you on the screen right now" And Liotta was like, I'll be damned I guess I did make that movie.
It always amazes me that actors never watch the movies they make. They just flip some character switch for a month and then forget about it.

From what I understand, many actors tend to nitpick their past performances when watching them.
R.I.P.

Yes. You don't remember the Chantix commercials?

One of my favorite movies that came on HBO constantly when I was a kid was No Escape.
It seems like no one ever talks about it, but it made me a fan of Liotta. Then as I got older I was able to appreciate his better movies.
Ha, this is a movie I thought of when another poster asked about his career after Goodfellas. I loved No Escape, and just like you I have memories of watching scenes from it when it was running on HBO

I was thinking the same thing. He looked a lot older than 67
