It was so nice seeing a room properly cleared...
I can't tell you how many movies don't have the correct entries into buildings, or turn corners with their guns 3 feet in front of them :bang head:
If you go into the movie expecting to see the most realistic and accurate tactics, not stelar dialogue, and little plot development, then you will be satisfied.

The acting was on par with the Facing the Giants, Fireproof, etc... type movies.
Action/combat scenes were great.
Cool idea to use real soldiers, but it almost made the movie "too real"... I left the movie theater depressed isntead of inspired.
Overall, I'd give it a "meh".

I watched it Friday and really enjoyed it. Like others have said the acting was subpar but who cares! The rescue scene/the final fight and ending make the movie worth the price of admission alone. When the credits rolled it was the quietest I've ever heard a theatre exit. You could tell that everyone was moved by the end.

Saw it yesterday.. Thought the movie was great. As another person said the ending made me feel as if I were at a real funeral. My wife was balling from it.
I really thought SWCC stole the show. Does anyone know if the Senior Chief was a SEAL or not? His acting in the interrogation scene wasnt bad at all. But he seriously looked familiar both him and the guy that was the Sniper. Not sure if I met him before or because I saw him in another movie.

I was fighting a teardrop when they hammered the Tridents. Then they rolled the real list as the credits.

I thought the list of the deceased was a good touch, recognized some names, notably the Operation Red Wing combatants and Mikey Monsoor.
As far as the film itself, I thought the boat guy/Chinook parts of the film stole the show.
I didn't really care about tactics, I doubt many people know what proper room clearance looks like or whether the language was authentic or not. I would imagine it's tough to script combat for guys who have actually been in combat, I think that's part of the reason the acting came across as stale, the dialog in particular.
Overall, it's an okay movie, just enough Hollywood to keep it moving, I got my 5 bucks worth.

In the first swcc scene where they are showing the boat leader communicate on the radio there is a guy standing behind him driving the boat. That is my son. He is in the movie a total of 9 seconds
i loved how they used proper radio talk for once in the movie as well. a girl i knew from college her cousin was in the movie as well

I thought the same thing. Judging from some of the premier photos, it looks like he is, indeed, the real deal and not an actor.
(Notice how short all the guys look next to 'Chief Dave'. That dude is every-bit 6'6".)

yeah, and on the IMDB page they don't have any of the SEALs listed, including the Senior so I'm guessing he's real.
and he was terrific, especially in that interrogation scene. I LOL'd at least 4 times.
