Absolutely zero Lando love

Lando Calrissian played by Billy Dee Williams was by far a favorite character of mine in the old SWs. That smooth talkin colt-45 drinking sonbitch MADE empire Strikes back for me as a kid. While the two new movies were entertaining, I found myself asking, where the frick is Lando?!
I know both JJ Abrams and that new dickhead said that he didn't fit into their story, if you can even call them stories.. they have no problem introducing new characters we could care less about (ie purpled haired cougar and fat ugly Asian chick) but scoffed at the idea of bringing back Billy Dee to reprise his roll.
Can someone please tell me why the guy that saves Han Solo and Luke Skywalker and becomes a hero of the rebellion by blowing up the second death star doesn't get, at the very least, a cameo in the new films?! Not having him in the new ones was a giant frick you to the old fans and Billy Dee.

I thought for sure in last movie when they had to go to Cantonica to find the code breaker that Lando would be a big part of it. Then at the end he could have been shown with one of the kids that was using the force, and then he could have continued too the next story

Billy Dee Williams is a badass. Thats all I've got to say about that. Another black eye on the sequel trilogy to not include him in it.

Looking past the old white man complaining-ness of this post, the rumor on the street is that they brought Billy Dee in for the casino scenes in Last Jedi. He was going to be running that casino, which would explain the purpose of that huge detour in the film.
Unfortunately, he apparently is in bad shape nowadays and doesn't have that same charm we all remember and love. As a result, they had to cut his scenes.

But that fat ugly poorly developed Asian chick had a place in the story!? Come the frick on. Disney and Rian Johnson (btw what a douchebag way to spell Ryan) can all go to hell. They made an objectively bad film with awful acting and poor character development.
Just because "the force" is involved doesn't mean you can use Deus ex machina over 10 times in a movie... Rogue One was the last good new age star wars film we will ever see

Rebels win and defeat the Empire with Leila, Luke and Lando playing key roles. And when we next join our heroes...
Luke’s exiled himself (which I CAN buy) but Landos MIA, Solo is a smuggler again and Leila is leading yet another rebellion...albeit much smaller...against the First Order aka Empire Redux. So much for all the fireworks and celebrations at the death of the Empire. They apparently let it happen all over again.
It would’ve been so much more interesting to have the First Order/Sith as the new rebels fighting against a bloated/corrupt republic with Leila Solo Lando pulled in to stop it while Luke reappears to train a conflicted Rey.
Oh well....

Dude that would have been a brilliant route to take... Instead a new order appears seemingly out of nowhere with unlimited resources and they build up this villain Snoke only to have him go out like a punk with no explanation of his origin.
