To be fair, this can be interpreted in multiple ways. SEK is saying that Kimmel is saying that maga people are trying to characterize this as someone not maga, but wink wink he actually is maga. Roaad is taking kimmell at his word in that he doesn’t like that maga folks are trying to use this as a reason to attack the left.
You both aren’t wrong IMO. Just move on. The sad part is that THIS is what Kimmel thought was worthy of mentioning over the many atrocious behaviors that occurred this past weekend.

Maybe, but the way he said it, made me feel like he could have meant that. If you just read the words, it is harder to get there. When I first watched the clip, it seemed that he was implying that MAGA people are so dumb (Kimmel’s MO) and that they can’t see that this guy was actually one of their own. I’m not 100% sure though that’s actually what he meant after thinking about it. Not even 50% at this point.
