That does not happen.

Yet.

I had the name RW spoiled for me, and the notion that I would be tossing my book when it happened. Then followed about 500 pages of denial, where I did all I could to convince myself it would be Joff's and not Edmure's. Maybe it was so memorable because the insufferable little shite cut her throat in front of her family or something. It was plausible right? Right? Damn it

The thing I like about reading it on the Kindle is that I can turn on the autoreader on the boring chapters, but I'm yet to have listened to an audiobook.

Arya Still alive .

The part about the Hound chasing her down and hitting her with an ax was misleading.

The hound saved her life by doing that..... and he did technically hit her with an axe

I came so close to looking ahead for a Arya chapter to see if she was alive. I was going to be very pissed off if she was dead to.

see, this is the soft side of the Hound that the show somehow hasn't gotten across--he whacks Arya in the head to keep her from going on a ridiculous suicide mission. Yeah, maybe he could have saved her in a more gallant manner, but then, that wouldn't be very Hound-ish...

I was really starting to like the Red Viper, until he dropped the ball.

This book is awesome, really the whole series. But I hated Jaime and the Hound until this season.

Looks like Sansa is going to the Vale, a shame the hound coulldn't bring Arya there. My dumb as went to the Wiki and found out too much.

Then the post after the one I am responding to, leads me to believe the red viper does not kill the mountain. I really need to stay away from these discussions, lol.

Yes, yes you do. I just don't understand why some people want to know what happens before they read. Call me old fashioned but I like my presents on christmas morning not christmas eve

Nothing like that at all. What had happened was a mummer was juggling and threw a ball to the Red Viper, and when he dropped the ball it spilled a trencher on Cersei, ruining her dress. It was really a sad note in the whole series.

Hope that works as an adequate counter-spoiler.

I enjoyed that character a lot, should have been a giant red-flag waving to me right there that bad things were afoot for him.

Yeah I guess he was too good to be true. Everyone was livid about the Red Wedding, but I almost threw my book across the room as the Red Viper snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.

Doran Martell is way more badass. I can't wait to get to the murder ball chapter of AFFC.

For whoever posts this, please leave plenty of room below the spoiler warning. I just finished that chapter, and I am enjoying this thread too much to stop reading it for fear of having my worries answered prior to reading it.

I got a little beef with some of the posts after about page 3.
The title of this thread implies spoilers for the Red Wedding. As I read through it, someone posted that Arya wasn't dead, which is a spoiler after the red wedding, because the next Arya chapter after the red wedding ends saying "the axe took her in the back of the head" or something.
Later on the 5th page, someone typed something about they were just starting to like the Red Viper. That implies to me that he dies. I just read the chapter where Jaime gets back to King's Landing and Oberyn is still alive. For future reference, will some of you assholes that are caught up please post spoiler warnings?
Now I know that Arya is still alive because I just got to a new POV for her so it doesn't matter as much as it did.
Not gonna open this thread again after that.

So what is the guess on who Coldhands is? Benjen Stark is an obvious guess.
