I missed the epilouge after affc on my first read. (Just didn't flip far enough back to see it) and all I can say is daaaammmmnnnn

I think there are such a thing as spoilers for a book that is yet to be released....even in a "I read the book" thread.

How many threads are gonna pop up after the release? Everyone's gonna be cursing the speedreaders and skimmers.

I am going to do the same thing I did with the Potter books: Basically read it in one sitting and not go online till I am finished.

Loved his little note at the end of AFFC and how he said ADWD would be ready in about a year from then. Not so much.

Werthead from The Wertzone has compiled a sort of "the story till now" summary. I've only read the first part so far, but there's quite a bit that I don't remember from the books. The info on the Doom especially. I take it he's been following the Thus Spake Martin postings pretty closely.
(I'm assuming this is all accurate, I have quite a bit of faith in Wert. His website is an excellent source for reviews and recommendations for Fantasy/SciFi.)

Alright someone help me here, I've been re reading the books and one thinks thats bugged me since the first read through is why didnt ned take the throne instead of robert? he was the first there wouldnt that mean he was the rightful king? or am i missing something?

Robert is a descendant of the Targaryean line (great grandmother or something) and had the better claim, that along w/ the fact that I doubt Ned would have wanted the throne.
