It’s remarkable how influential this movie is for apocalyptic fiction. Mad Max and the Fallout franchise are definitely highly inspired.

Just watch the movie. Was tickled it was set in 2024.

Bold choice to make your protagonist pro-rape.

It’s definitely worth a watch even if the execution isn’t great. I didn’t love once they get underground.

If you like protagonists like that, check out Flesh and Blood with Rutger Hauer. I do agree, boy and his dog is absolutely incredible. Nice call!

Saw it in ‘82 at the Bon March mall at a midnight showing. Place was packed. Cool movie. Due for a rewatch.

This movie was in the midnight movie rotation that used to be promoted by WRNO in New Orleans. Easy Rider, Harold and Maude, Song Remains The Same, etc were shown at a theater by the Fischer projects…can’t remember the name of the place.
