Yeah, but supporting actor was also the most insane field in quite awhile. Any of the 5 could have won and I wouldn't have had much issue. But when I first saw Bridge of Spies I walked out telling myself that Rylance should win. He outshined Hanks in that film by a pretty wide margin which is tough to do.

But certainly could have been behind Hardy as well.

Totally agree. I thought Hardy outshined Leo at times as well.

It's estimated that over 500 children are still abused annually in Catholic Churches around the world. Only 1 in 12 priests found to have molested children will ever see a jail cell.

The crazy thing is that Benicio Del Toro, Jason Mitchell, Walton Goggins and potentially Jacob Tremblay (could go supporting or lead) were all on the outside looking in.

Um, yeah. The data is well publicized

I'm a card carrying republican, and it says a lot about you that you believe one has to be a democrat to be outraged over the cover up of child rape.

You are a sad person who needs Jesus

I think it is sad the academy sacrifices integrity to make political points. The best picture should go to the best film, not the film with the best message.

That's a mighty high standard you hold yourself to

Yes, Islam is a dogshit ideology the world would be better off without. Now how about comparing your church to something other than a culture that still approves of stoning and marrying 10 year olds?

And in the United States today, those that are accused are investigated by law enforcement and handled accordingly.

I'll never once condone the coverup, or continued abuse that may occur today. But to act like the Church hasn't done a damn thing is just idiotic.

While due to the coverup, it's also a symptom of the legal system in the US.
