I can finally nominate the Sweet 16 thread that I spent hours destroying anyone that said Audrey Hepburn was more attractive than Olivia Wilde or Mila Kunis.
I still, to this day, hate Hepburn because of that thread. fricking love it. Nominations to come next...

Might as well try and make Blue Velvet a two time champ. Even though he's not really. I guess RollTide1987 because he is an award season freak. Though that doesn't really make him a snob.
Definitely wouldn't classify RollTide as a film snob. Too much into Batman and he admits when he's wrong, which snobs do heavily reluctantly.

I'm just saying man, I used to think Mila Kunis was incredibly hot, but this tournament ruined her for me. I mean c'mon she is in no way the hottest actress EVER. I mean you knew a current actress was gonna win it but damn man, should've been Scarjo :stillmad:

And why is that?
I don't think it was a bad overall thread idea and I don't blame you. But when active campaigning, chastising and Lacouring took over, so did idiocy.

I mean honestly who cares. I would imagine %75 of this site is under 30. So it wasn't surprising that a current actress won. Half of the elite 8 were classic actresses, I thought that was pretty good. And the campaigning/lacouring was funny. Multiple sig quotes are from it. It wasn't like it made much of a difference. if you think someone is hotter then that's who you vote for, not because somebody pushed another person. It just got a lot more pictures posted which was a good thing and an overall fun thread.

See, this is the type of thinking that got Emmanuelle Chiquita or whoever in over Marilyn Monroe.
It's still a lock for thread of the year. Besides Freauxzen coming out as Rutherford B Hayes and us having a thread about kicking the shite out of dead president's, I can't think of anything else.

I was just meaning it by who cares about campaigning.
I voted for Monroe and is one of my top 10 all time and had no idea who Chiquita or whatever her name was until that tourney. But she was hot and most of who voted was around my age(26) and under. You don't have 50 pic of Monroe barely wearing anything so I guess most thought she was hotter.

I want to go ahead and start lobbying for Cabin in the Woods. It needs more popcorn and horror noms, at least. Also, The Man With the Iron Fist needs more shitty movie nominations, as does Prometheus.

Not my cup of tea, but definitely a hell of a lot better than any horror film I've seen in the past several years. Wouldn't be opposed to it.

My sig and love for Olivia Wilde was sparked from the Sweet 16 thread. I never appreciated her beauty until then. It opened my eyes and now I can't unsee her.

And something you'll never want to unsee.
