Those bombs really did a number on them

Wow, these sure do take me back to my childhood days when I watched Japanese monster movies on Saturday afternoons back in the early 70's.

So this is where the Power Rangers got their inspiration for monsters

I recognized Goldar and Spectreman immediately. Is that Ultraman near the beginning?

Goldar

The Saucer Men were Japanese? I don't think so.

Yeah, they just adapted various "Super Sentai" (started in the late '70s) series into an American version called "Power Rangers." The earlier seasons connecting to one another with characters, where the Japanese shows didn't have that sort of connection.

Ha...this one is funny.
Also...why would the name of the article, or whatever you want to call it, be "Awkward Vintage Japanese Movie Monsters"? Why are any of those awkward?
Edit to add: What makes something vintage? At least two of those pics of Godzilla related monsters are from the last 15-17 years.
And, I shouldn't have replied to myself with this post.

They left out my favorite image, from the immortal Inframan.
This is either the creation of a child mind or genius of the highest order.

The three headed space dragon. That either mercs for aliens trying to invade earth or comes to earth for pleasure or terrifying people with gravity lightning.

The masked fighting, or all of the non high school unmasked stuff, was Japanese footage from their "Power Rangers?"
