Same here...the first one was terrible. This one at least looks like it will be better, so that's good.

And what was the Andrew Garfield reference with respect to SJ being pregnant..? He's not the one who knocked her up...it's her fiance', right?

Garfield was supposed to go to the Oscars for the batkid thing but couldn't because he was with Emma at the hospital with her mother.

Garfield actually took the kid to Disney World

My bad, man. Maybe terrible is a stretch, but I didn't think it was very good and didn't really like it all.

No sweat. Cap 1 is a Marvel movie that draws all sorts of reactions (although, not the general hostility that IM3 does). I think part of the problem for some is that the development of the character takes a while and he does not start doing superhero shite until well into the movie.

I actually liked Cap 1 when I first saw it, and then grew to appreciate it more after Avengers because of how that movie used the character. That said, from what I have seen, Winter Soldier looks like it's going to be fantastic.

FYI, there won't be an Agents if Shield episode next week. There will be a preview of TWS, GotG, and avengers 2. Hopefully it's a nice little promo for the upcoming movies and what we have to look forward to. Or dread, as I'm sure a few on here will

The main reason I didn't like it was because of my expectations I think...I had NO idea that the bad guys in the movie would basically be alien Nazi creatures. For whatever reason, that sort of blindsided me and completely took me out of the movie.

I liked it up until then actually, but after that I just was disappointed and thought it was pretty bad.

I didn't like it at first. It just didn't really do it for me for some reason. But I just saw it again recently on FX and it was better than I remembered.

I think having seen the other movies definitely changed my perspective on it.

IM3 had a lot of flaws, though. It will take something big to turn me around on that one.

I don't get the hate for Thor 2. I thought it was pretty good.

You notice at the end it said "Tony Stark will return"...not "Iron Man will return".

They could easily use the fallout from TWS to change who the S.H.I.E.L.D. director is:

-Maria Hill has done it quite often
-Tony Stark was the director after Civil War
-Commander Steve Rogers is the current director in the comics. (Bucky is Captain America now)

Clip looks pretty good. Although at one point in it, Cap looks to be moving more like Spider Man than Captain America.

The part where he is scaling the staircase/walkway.

Yeah, he did something similar in the Avengers, but nothing Jackie Chan couldn't have done in his heyday.

Yeah. That is exactly the scene I was talking about.

I'm not saying Cap. can't do stuff like that. He is a master combatant and has agility. But I always kind of pictured his movements to be more elegant. I think he based his fighting style on Judo, at least originally.

That scurrying up the fence/railings/platform looked more like maybe the orcs from Moria in Fellowship of the Rings. Or maybe, as I said, Spiderman would move like that. Or, of course, Batroc the leaper.

Just a nitpick really. Won't detract from my enjoyment of the movie.

I think I read where Evans trained in BJJ, parkour, and krav maga among other things to give his fighting style a more modern look. The justification was that Cap wouldn't want to be succeptible to more modern styles so he would train to adapt.

The wall scurrying thing would fall under parkour I guess.
