The season was good, but the finale was crap. So, next season is going to pick up right where this one leaves off? Are they going to call it 48? Extremely disappointing...season 8 better be good, especially if it's the last.

Well it wasn't an explosive ending but I didn't think it was that bad. Overall this season was pretty damn good.

I thought it was a great season finale. They maintained an intensity without the usual major action. It was more psychological and I liked it.

Yeah, the season was solid. I thought the finale was decent, but not great. The first half hour of the last hour (7:00 am -7:30) was outstanding, IMO, but the ending was the worst ending to a season of 24 ever. I doubt they're going to pick it up right where they left off. They can just say the treatment was a success, Olivia's in jail, and make up a story of what happened with Renee/Alan. I do think that there will be a shorter time between seasons, though, than normal (i.e. 6 months, when usually it's 1.5-2 years in between), and could be more connected to this season than usual.

if the season ends with Jack being a hurt pussy all episode and finally laying in a bed than yeah the season finale sucked.
Everyone knew Kim was going to give Jack the stem cells for the past month but they give us that as a big cliffhanger along with OMG maybe some random FBI woman nobody gives a shite about will flip and kill the guy from Road House 2: Last Call thus ending her time on the show.
Tony's been shot two times in the shoulders and will live in case there is some stupid reason to bring him back.

It wasn't action-packed but for all of us old 24 fans it brought back a lot of history and had some drama that this season had lacked (Jack and Renee's conversation and Jack and Tony's were brilliant). Not the best season finale but very different and I enjoyed it.
