I laughed when he through the woman out the window.
It was cold-blooded murder, but just. The son wanted to run, but Margot forced him to stay at gunpoint, and his response was something like, "Either we succeed together, or we die together." And earlier Margot decided to bomb the train station instead of going after Heller again, so he would have to see the consequences of his trickery. Instead, she was made to watch her son die before joining him, and her last missile diverted harmlessly into the sea. That was some highly concentrated win right there.

Great episode, I do have one thing to nitpick...when Jack learned the Drone was heading back to London why did he automatically jump to their plan had been figured out and not say " oh look, she was never going to keep her word"?

Because, she had already crashed the other 5.

This season was wonderful up through Jack throwing Margot out of the window. Then the episode went to shite. I hate this Navarro/Adrien Cross storyline so much and was hoping they would end it in this episode. Jack vs. the Russians trying to take him into custody would have been so much more interesting.
The only interesting part of the Cross storyline is how Chloe will deal with this whole situation going forward.

Well, they are beating us over the head with Cross saying over and over to Navarro, "I am just a middle man". So, we'll meet the main guy soon. I feel we have met him already. I'm thinking the Prime Minister. That blonde chick with him is shady at best.

Not the Prime Minister. Maybe the blonde chick, Miranda Raison. From MI-5. An even better spy show then 24.
:ducks:

I agree. There has to be more of a reason for this character to exist than one or two smarmy lines an episode.

Great episode. Definitely a Top 3 Kill for Jack.
Loving this season. Really prefer this format. Seems to really cut the BS out of the show.

Watching the episode now, I like President Heller and it was a bummer to see the President get killed by a terrorist.
I'm not gonna lie though it was a pretty cool way to go out, he'd have ended up a great American and World Wide hero, one of the greatest me in history

Finally watched it last night. Wow.
A couple things. And one I mentioned before. Why wasn't Jack given a Military chopper? There are drones flying all around London, and he's cruising around in a Civilian looking Chopper. And why did he leave it at the top of the building? He takes it from the building Heller was staying in, takes it to Wembley, takes it to the roof of the building, then we never see it again. Did he fly it back to CIA? I might have missed him getting in or out of it if he did. Chloe sends them the feed of the drone, so they know where it is flying over. Why weren't there RAF jets scrambled to patrol over London? They sent the feed to the PM and to the RAF. But enough of that.
And we got another Jack face punch. The poor guard at the CIA got knocked out. Some of Jack's lines this year have been perfect. Starting early on with the "I know it may seem like I'm at a disadvantage but I assure you I'm not" and in this episode when he tells Heller to get in the car and let me do what I do.

He took Heller out in secret, they couldn't just go steal a military helicopter. I remember him parking in the parking lot. When they left the stadium Heller got in a car with Jack's buddy and Jack left in the helicopter.

I actually feel a little bad for Boudreau. He was cold cock blocked by Jack.
Jack turns Audrey into pudding by rescuing Dad while her husband gets to look like the putz that was totally fine with letting the President of the United States get droned. Jack could at least have told him "Look...this is a long shot but I'm working on a plan."
Works out pretty well since now the guy has even more of a reason to rat out Bauer to the Russians (if the show goes that route).
Turned out to be a pretty good day for Jack. Saves the President, gets a full pardon, plus probably gets his girl to file a divorce from her lying, douchey politician husband.
