Anora is kind of a Russian Crime film mixed with extreme stripper/hooker vibes.
It's basically every film A24 has released over the last 6-8 yrs trying to win Oscars.
Tonight, it hit because the tranny movie pissed the Hollywood types off because of what he/she said year ago, and the film that as supposed to sweep, The Brutalist, used like 2 seconds of AI to loop a soundbite.
Anora was the defacto winner fallback safety net after all that.
It's also by a trendy director right now.
