Ned "Squeal Like a Pig" Beatty
Warren "Sgt Hulka" Oats
Dan "Elwood Blues" Akroyd
John "Those Aren't Pillows" Candy
Perry "Adam from Spring Break" Lang

An endless list of super stars. Great movie. Belushi is at his absolute best!

Just found on Pluto. Haven't watched in years! Great flick!

Edit
It's actually on Pluto TV.

I absolutely love this movie. The stereotypes were spot on for each character. Belushi was one of a kind.

It's been a very long time since I've seen it but isn't this the one where Slim Pickens tells the Japs, "y'all ain't getting shite out of me"? On a submarine if I'm remembering correctly

Great movie. Slim Pickens is hilarious. Love the part when he sees the German on the Jap sub and says “you’re all in cahoots!” and calls him Hiney Kraut

One pulls out a knife, and he says…. “Watch that knife, boy.” Then they force him to drink prune juice to try and get the compass he swallowed.

Yes, that's it. I'll have to re-watch that, I haven't seen it since the 80’s

It was considered a failure as it didn't hit expected box office numbers, but it's still a classic.

Jap Officer: Where is Hollywood?

Slim Pickens: Right here! I'm Hilas Wood.....

I love it when John Candy gets blackface when the tank backfires and then Frank McRae gets hit in the face with flour turning him white. They point at each other and start laughing. Good stuff.

Spielberg never tried a pure comedy again because of the "failure."

Thats on him, he tried to feature Belusi and Ackroid and they were least funny characters. But man at the gold in this movie:

The Ned B scene firing at the sub;
Toshiro Mifune and the entire Japanese sub crew;
Treat Williams I think as the psycho sailor;
Slim Pickens on the sub;
The Ferris wheel scene.

Funny movie.

I love that movie.

I think it's a classic with a great score by John Williams but apparently Speilberg doesn't even acknowledge it.

"Horrywood! Horrywood! Bonzai! Bonzai!"

"Jesus pal....A NAZI! I knew it! You're all in cahoots! Now you listen here, Mr. Heinie Crap. I fought your kind in the Great War, and we kicked the living shite out of you!"

"I bet you're gonna bomb John Wayne's house, ain't ya?"

"Look! I'm a bug! BUZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!"

"Hey! Hey! Get in the back of the tank!"

"Real Japs?"
"No, wooden Japs, cheetah. What do you think?"

The beginning g of the movie when the skinny dipper is hanging on the periscope, the jap sailor pointing up yelling “Hollyood Hollyood” as the sub starts to dive. Great stuff!
