CHARLOTTE - Zion Williamson will return to action for the first time in nearly a month on Thursday as Duke takes on Syracuse in the ACC tournament.

Williamson injured his left knee against North Carolina on Feb. 20, and the Blue Devils have struggled in his absence, dropping three of six games.

quote:

Amid debate that the ACC Player of the Year and likely first overall selection in June's NBA draft should sit out the rest of the season, coach Mike Krzyzewski had offered assurances Williamson would return and had pointed to Thursday's game as the most likely date to get back on the court.

Williamson practiced in full throughout the week, and Krzyzewski said he expected the team would have a quick adjustment period working its star forward back into the lineup, putting the Blue Devils squarely back in the national championship picture.

quote:

"We have a re-set button," Krzyzewski said after a loss to UNC to cap the regular season. "If Zion's healthy, we have a chance."

I can understand wanting to play with and for your teammates but sometimes you gotta look out for yourself. Taking a chance with the guaranteed millions you've already earned.

I know it may seem crazy, but there are people in this world who care about things other than money.

He's already been paid. He got money and his parents got a house.

Dude has to play.

Let's see how many of the NBA guys would be happy paying them the average american income of 60,000. If 50% of them would be happy I'd say you're right.

I'm sure Zion cares about plenty things more than money.

~5 college basketball games shouldn't be any of those things.

It felt good saying Wofford swept UNC last year but that and $1 will get you a cup of coffee.

I'm praying for buddy boeheim to go off again like last night, cuse needs another resume boosting win. In recent play we don't deserve to be in the tourney even at 20-12

You’ll be an 8 seed, maybe a dangerous one if Battle is healthy.

Yeah, I'd honestly prefer Battle to sit out tonight and rest up since it looks like we'll make it in. I'll take a 10 seed if need be

Duke swept by UNC....THIS YEAR. We ain't talking about last year. You can't apply that LSU (next year U) mentality in here.

This year. Duke has zero wins vs UNC

Let that sink in.
