It appears that way according to what has been leaked. The DA didn't feel that way. The NFL obviously has more info than has been released and if Zeke actually destroyed evidence like is rumored well that's all she wrote.
Again, I don't want bad things to happen to the Cows but Zeke has been acting like a total moron and needed a reality check. He's lucky he is in the NFL. Any other normal person would have been fired by now.

Maybe so, but settling for what will likely be a 4-game suspension is pretty reasonable considering his employer thinks he was involved in domestic violence.

You sound like you wanted the Cowboys to suspend or punish Zeke, but they obviously don't care about character because they always have multiple players suspended.
You're happy about the NFL stepping in to discipline him because he deserves it. However, the NFL continues to lose credibility with their suspensions. The only consistency in the NFL suspensions is that they will eventually piss off every NFL team, and their investigations will keep incidents in the headlines long after everyone would have forgotten about them.
Goodell started his hardline to improve the league's image. Instead, most of the investigations and actual suspensions make the league look worse. Furthermore, this suspension is probably a power play by Goodell and a group of owners against Jerry. He is the most powerful figure in the NFL, and the old guard wanted to knock Jerry down a few notches.

Elliott knows this could get worse for him if he appeals and all this supposed damning evidence the Columbus DA missed comes out, and yet he's appealing anyway.
