Between the video of him pulling down the girls top and rumors of misleading/conflicting statements by Zeke with possible destruction of evidence, he's in for a dogfight since they actually pulled the trigger with suspension..

quote:Well now I am triggered. It doesnt have to do with the top incident.......
If he wants more endorsements, he should stop pulling girls' tops down a public..
THey are basing it all on the DV incident, in which the woman was found to have text messages telling her friend to lie to cops....

Sounds like there is evidence ole boy was beating on that woman.
frick him.
frick him.

What's this decision have to do with losing out on endorsements because of pulling a girls' titties out in public?
Posted on 8/11/17 at 11:32 am to sicboy
So let me get this straight, prosecutors found no wrong doing, but the league did?

It's hilarious to see the Cowboys get screwed but it seems pretty obvious that the woman was lying about that incident.

Props to roger on this one

“For the Ezekiel Elliott matter, I personally believe that there were a series of interactions between Mr. Elliott and (his accuser) where violence occurred. However, given the totality of the circumstances, I could not firmly conclude exactly what happened. Saying something happened versus having sufficient evidence to criminally charge someone are two completely different things. Charging decisions are taken very seriously and we use best efforts to conduct thorough and detailed investigations.”

What about other incidents?
She may have asked someone to lie about seeing something because no one believes her about when he really did beat on her. Who knows?
We are not privy to all of the evidence and investigations.
IMO, the NFL is using the DV incidents, but is really suspending him for his pattern of behavior: that, the titty pull down, the speeding, etc. They don't like what they see and are telling him through this to calm the frick down or he will see himself out of the league in short order when it gets worse.

So you getting off on technicalities or the prosecution not feeling like they have ENOUGH evidence to proceed doesn't mean that something didn't happen, and that's more than enough for the personal conduct policy.

I feel bad for Cowboys fans, I feel bad for Zeke, and I feel bad for the Cowboys as a team.
Roger Goodell is a dictator pure and simple, and I can't wait til he goes to Foxboro and gets booed by 20k plus fans in blue clown nose shirts.

I was initially triggered by this, but reading the DAs statements, it makes sense.
The DA is publicly saying he believes violence occurred, but he does not have enough evidence for a court of law.
The NFL, nor any business really, runs itself with the threshold necessary in the court of law. After reading up on it, this seems hard to blame Goodell

Happens all of the time.
Prosecutors know someone is guilty as frick, but they can't charge. The NFL doesn't have the same restrictions.

Just seems like a load to me. You can't go around saying someone did something wrong if you can't prove it.

Ah, the old guilty until proven innocent defense.

You can't go around saying someone did something wrong if you can't prove it. And if the league isn't going to suspend him under the DV policy, that means they couldn't prove the domestic violence. So, they basically suspended him because he was SUPPOSEDLY involved in the incidents.
Probably a lot more to it than that.
