I don't know what you're referring to as far as "no ads" or "red shows".

The "red shows" are from when YouTube was briefly making their own content. THey still do a few kids shows and docs but most of that was shut down a few years ago. YouTube Premium was originally called YouTubeRed but they rebranded when they realized that was way too close to the porn site Redtube.

It's not called that anymore? Like I said I never subscribed to them. But you can at least agree that a $65 base plus $11 add on for $76 per month is fricking ridiculous right?

Like am I taking crazy pills? Are people really paying $75+ per month for youtube services?

If $50-70 per month is really that big of a deal for you, you might be the fool

Still cheaper than anyone I know who pays for xfinity or AT&T.

I'm not even sure what you're arguing against at this point.

Was waiting for this. Not so much whether it's a big deal or not, just I can think of a lot better uses for $60 than what apparently youtube costs besides sports lmao.

I’m happy to pay for convenience. And you realize it’s not YouTube premium, right? The UI of Hulu Live, which I use, is worth the nominal price.

Researching some options today.

Also, off topic, but will they ever resolve the Bally Sports situation or Sinclair really that crappy?

I think you are confused. They are paying 75 a month for basically the cox cable $130 level per month of tv channels. Not sure why you think that is high. Can you show us deals that are much cheaper than that with the same content access?

Looks like Fubo has a 14 day trial. Probably switching to that for the time being.

Is this happening on HULU also?

Or just YouTube?

Was thinking of switching to fubo in March once the Astros season starts. That may accelerate if YTT doesn’t strike a deal by the time my fubo free trial is up.

I think Disney owns Hulu so there’s the problem. Seems like they’re trying to drive everyone to Hulu.

i for one applaud youtubeTV for distancing itself from the liberal filth and i expect to see their subscription numbers rise as the silent majority recognizes this great act

We can hate liberals while also enjoying live sports, btw.

Espn likely trying to overcharge for their shitty content. Outside a handful of college games their content is garbage. MNF broadcast is a shell of its former self and the matchups are some of the worst out there.

This. There is nothing on ESPN I desperately want to watch over the next 10 days, so I’m prepared to ride it out a bit
