I know they probably cut off alcohol sales at some point, but I can't imagine having almost a whole period to just party since the outcome has been determined. I would be so f'ed up.

Those lucky bastards only had to wait 5 years for a title. While some of us suffered for decades. Remember a long time ago when many said pro sports in Las Vegas would never work?

I don't think anyone outside vegas can imagine how popular this team is. Not only were they the first pro team for a city that loves sports and thought we might never get a team. The players immediately embrace the community and ledefforts to help families after the big mass shooting.

Appreciate this context and congrats to the Golden Knights and City of Las Vegas

It's either Marchesseault or Eichel. Vegas's entire defense is so good it really eliminates Hill from contention. There was the poster earlier who said he couldn't believe Bobs was being outplayed by Hill. That's true to some degree but Florida's entire defense got whomped by Vegas's defense the whole series.

I'm bailing on the third period. The only thing that could make me regret that decision would be if Fan Man made a comeback and landed on the ice in the next period.

Last year my a-hole could cut diamonds on the edge of my seat watching Colorado close out Tampa
It was 2-1 going into the third period and stayed that way. Was a rough 20 minutes but they did it.

Unfortunately tonight closes out that year but I'll always have the memories of watching them win it in person with my dad

Thanks!

My wife is exhibit A. She has the dog dressed in an ugly golden knights jersey and might skip work tomorrow

It was me that said that. Times have changed. But growing up, it was the teams that had stud goalies that always won (Roy, Belfour, Hasek, Richter, Broduer). I underestimated the Golden Knights defense. I'll own it. Hill has still made most of the big saves when he needed to.

I was our there when they lost in the finals their first year. The bitching was insane. I recall a specific bartender and I was wearing an Astros hat. I told him we waited 40 years, be patient, it will come.

But I like vegas winning.

I'm just glad it's not the same old teams winning again. The Golden Knights winning, and the Panthers getting close helps grow the game.

The happiest person here tonight is Adin Hill’s agent...but I'm not too far behind.

Another one. Drinks are on me tonight, boys.

ETA: Ok, maybe we'll wait a bit...

Is this a record for a Stanley Cup clinching victory yet?

Whatever happened to Fan Man? I remember a long time ago Sportscenter ran some segment about him. But I forgot where he went after that.

Seriously Florida has no business pulling their goalie and embarrassing themselves with this score
