I said LSU's special teams dominated. They did.

Not to mention LSU's special teams.. which is a part of the game.. dominated

Clearly you're not familiar with the word. Here, this should help

How did LSU not dominate ST in the first game? Wing pinned Bama inside the 5 numerous times and we actually connected on all of our FG attempts.

I know yall want to think jan 9th was an anomaly, but looking at both games, its pretty clear nov 5th was the anomnaly

A win is a win.

Bama is National Champs, but they didn't accomplish anything on the field LSU didn't. LSU had 13 wins and beat everyone on their schedule.

It also shows that until American sports decide to crown the best team at the end of the regular season(like in European soccer, which will never happen), there will never be a perfect system for awarding a championship.

European systems are more "fair" but less exciting. We've made a deal that we don't crown the "legitimate" champ in order to make our sports more entertaining. I'm fine with it. That's the way things go.

Even though sometimes you end up with Team Mulligan winning the title.

i guess you're not gonna watch the last 14 games with City holding onto a slim lead over United having to keep winning and Tottenham lurking... plus you have Liverpool, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Arsenal all fighting for fourth

the best part is we still have three more months of this to go

Do they get accidental rings???

This is the best line of the entire thread. It doesnt matter what happens in the regular season. It matters when said team enters the playoffs and handles business.

So are you going to blame Pujols, Dirk and Tim Thomas getting hot at the right time?

Every player has their slack time in a season especially basketball and baseball. With each of those having plus 75 games you can afford to. Im not blaming them for getting hot, it just ended up looking that way toward the end of the season. In order for them to guarantee the playoffs for their teams they needed to play like the players they are not just slack off and mail in the end of the season.

Look, I love soccer, but you're kidding yourself if you think the season normally comes down to the two best teams playing on the final day. That rarely happens. Championship games are sort of great, and it's the drawback of the season model. It's more fair, but it's not as good for the drama of finality. You end up scoreboard wtaching, which is tense, but its not the same feeling as a final game.

The Mavericks were good all season they don't belong with the rest of those teams.
