Sheesh
Also, been seeing on Twitter that they might start with peacock because urquidy has some pretty gnarly reverse splits

I actually felt a little better about the loss last night after I heard Bregman talk. He said they accomplished what they went to NY to do. And that was take 2/3 there. I mean, how many really expected to go into NY and sweep them there?

Well it would have been nice of the offense to let Hinch know that beforehand and maybe he would have saved JV for today instead of wasting him last night when the mission was already accomplished.

Your comments that are tongue in cheek even have apocalyptic tones to them
It just might be he way I read them in my head

It just goes to the debate of whether starting JV on the road was the right decision, even on normal rest. To me, Bregman’s comment, virtually being satisfied with taking two out of three, certainly explains their mindset and all of the undisciplined and unfocused at bats last night. And if that was the case, then It’s a shame to waste JV last night instead of having him and Cole lined up at home with a chance to close it out. It’s water under the bridge, but that’s twice now that JV has failed to close the deal on the road, even on short rest at Tampa.

My guess is, they think they’ll win Tonight, and you start the WS with Cole, then Verlander on full rest

Once hinch set the rainout rotation it was done. Jv is such a creature of habit that altering his throwing schedule on short notice was going to be a no go

Tonight is a must win because of the patterns
Game 1, greinke loss and Tanaka win
Game 2 verlander win Paxton loss
Game 3 Cole win severino loss
Game 4 greinke win Tanaka loss
Game 5 verlander loss Paxton win
Game 6 ?
Game 7 pattern would put a Cole loss and severino win,
So tonight is do or die

They are all must wins.
They are all never winnable.

That is the pattern. Every game is a must win in the DAT. Welcome.

Would I really like to have a front line starter in a game like that? Who wouldn’t?” Verlander told Boomskie on Baseball in the Astros clubhouse after allowing all four runs, including Hicks’ three-run homer, during the first inning on his way to pitching seven. “I’m sure a lot of teams would like to have front-line starters, or even good starters, but you have to pay for them. They decided not to, everybody.”
Justin Verlander on game 6.

Well, I would hate that kind of burden, but if there is a poster name that could handle it, Mother fricking Doom might be it. LOL
