Awful news, he understood football in a way that very few people do. Loved reading his stuff, especially his draft coverage. RIP Terez

I've not heard of him, but 37. Does it say why?

Meanwhile Peter King happily publishes another “coffeenerdness” snippet and tut-tuts at non mask-wearing twenty-somethings in Tampa

Y'all gotta stop letting trolls get to you. It's 2021. Should be easy to notice them by now.

He was exceptional in a day & age where any idiot with a podcast considers themselves a sports journalist. He loved FOOTBALL and though he was excellent whether it was covering HS sports or Sporting KC soccer for the KC Star. He was a true rising star on the national scene @ Yahoo and his writing and accountability were second to none. The fricking best beat writer the KC Chiefs have had or will ever have, if he said it, it was true. RIP T you will be missed, but your writing is eternal.

It's weird how many great sportswriters the Star has had over the years (Whitlock, Posnanski, Taylor) and what an absolute piece of garbage the rest of the paper has become.

One of the STL local shows had him on as a guest from time to time. He was a fine writer. Brandon Kiley paid tribute on his show earlier this week. He used to work with him in KC radio years ago.
