Like Wetzel was saying on Finebaum, there were meetings with the top administrators (including the President) of SMU about keeping kids on the payroll. As bad as this is its difficult to compare anything with SMU.

But Miami's fricked regardless of the death penalty. Will be massive massive penalties.

and the President of SMU approved the fricking payroll There's bad and then there's bad.

This is about as close to SMU as you can get but I'm still not sure its SMU.

We didn't compete with Miami too much. the main ones that come to mind are the Sanford trio in 09 (UM Um UF) Bowe, and Peterson.

Damn. All we could offer Ray Ray Armstrong was weed. No wonder the long time UF lean in Armstrong chose Miami. This dude was getting him laid on a yacht.

I have to admit I'm not crazy about Bama's brand new o line coach and brand new director of football operations being mentioned in this story from their time in Miami. Seems like this would be grounds for dismissal.

As a Bama fan, I'm good with letting these 2 guys go or at least suspending them with pay and sidelining them until further notice. The last thing Bama of all teams needs is a couple of football staffers mentioned in a major scandal at their prior school. Thank God these 2 guys were just recently hired. On the other hand, it doesn't give me confidence in our hiring/screening process.

True...but considering that the AD was working with the NCAA when all of this is going on, it's not gonna be pretty. There's no way the higher ups didn't know about this.

Tip of the Ice Berg so far...

And this is the first we've heard of this, so it makes me feel better about Auburn since it wasn't this bad when our story broke, but more kept coming out over the following weeks.

Wonder what Thayer Evans has to say about this...

I learned a long time ago to not crow until it was truly done. The Means deal educated a ton of UA fans. Feel free to operate differently.
