Listening to Charles Robinson:

He's talking about the long term effects of this starting now, discussing if Al Golden knew any of this.

But instead, Shapiro said he was enabled by the university, allowed to run the entire Miami team out of tunnel and onto the field – twice – and once honored on the field by former athletic director Paul Dee during a game. The same Paul Dee who wagged a finger at USC as the chairman of the NCAA’s committee on infractions in 2010, chiding the Reggie Bush/O.J. Mayo scandal as a systematic failure.

“High-profile players demand high-profile compliance,” Dee said while announcing USC’s sanctions.

Now Shapiro says Miami’s athletic compliance – Dee’s own backyard while Shapiro was operating – suffered one catastrophic oversight after another.

So what we've learned is that Butch Davis resurrects programs but eventually they get mauled by NCAA for violations.

Note to self: Prolly don't want to bring Butch back in the fold if Bobby p leaves.

Charles Robinson is legit. That is how you break a fricking story with some credibility to all of those bloggers/sensationalists out there.

These million dollar jock sniffers could bring down any team.

Some Universities would try to stop it if they knew, but kids in college don't turn down parties on a yacht with naked women and tubs full of cash.

NOOOOOO Noooooo Those former AU players in the HBO4 just had an ax to grind with AU. They can't be trusted to tell the truth, you know that.

read the article, when Shapiro got in trouble he went to those successful players he had helped and they turned their backs on him. so he is doing this because he felt slighted by his 'family'

Shapiro said he is firing away because the players he once helped and who claimed they were all family. Turned their backs on him during his legal troubles.

He is the lowest kind of criminal then. I think he wants the publicity. He's a fricking sociopath.

The feds didn't give a shite if he paid for some football players to get laid. They aren't going to go out and claw back that money from some whores on South Beach.

He's not giving any money back from that Ponzi scheme, he's killing a football program. The same program that he tried like hell to get inside of and support. This is terrible for college football.

edit: I guess my question was rhetorical. If I'm paying players like crazy and get busted for stealing millions I sure as hell am not going to roll over on my beloved football team because they don't want to be seen with me. Dude is crazy.
