You know living in Lafayette I've always heard the hate from Cajun fans against LSU and always thought "LSU sure don't act like this towards ULL"...you fellas are sure proving me wrong. So bizarre to me.

To be fair, it's usually little little brother (LSU fans that went to McNeese or never went to college and live in Lake Charles) that act like this.
Or like that one podcaster that played football for Southeastern but podcasts for LSU.

Never pulled against the Cajuns in my life despite the “Louisiana” moniker being cringey. But now? May the Curse of Cajunomics cause you great suffering.

I can't think of any McNeese or LSU people that I know of who go out of their way to dislike Southeastern or ULM or Tech or Nicholls....so maybe your school and it's fans' attitudes are the problem?
McNeese people don't like us because they're an old rival. LSU people don't like us because our fans don't bow down to them.
But if people think that schools like LSU haven't had a history of backdoor political hindering with schools like UL(L) which has caused some of this animosity that you're asking about, well that's for another discussion.

There were LSU fans rooting for Texas over the Cajuns in last year’s regionals. A school that LSU directly competes with. Bizarre.

I root for all Louisiana teams to do well. LSU fans are weird on this. I guess because we have no traditional rival, so we throw shite at the Sun Belt team that constantly exceeds our expectations (until this season).

As a guy who was there rooting for the Cajuns, it was alarming how much smaller they are than McNeese!
Now I’ll say, I am impressed with the Pokes big time. A lot of big funky arms and a scrappy physical team at the plate.

I didn't want to say it because a lot of people here would deny it, but outside of football, the Tigers and Cajuns have an unspoken rivalry especially in diamond sports. How? Because each fan base laughs when the other loses plus it's rare LSU fans call other in-state schools "little brother."
