Itd be hard for most coaches to win at Clemson.

Oliver Purnell took Clemson to the tourney 5 years in a row

Brownell is no where close to that

Oliver Purnell did that before the ACC added Louisville, Syracuse, Pitt, and Notre Dame. The ACC is very hard to win in. Doesn't meant he is a good coach, I just think he is already disadvantaged at a place like Clemson.

Johnny Jones with Lorenzo Romar 2nd

Jones looks even worse because the SEC has been a glorified mid-major the last few years. No excuse not to be more successful

Purnell did have Clemson rolling, but had a rough time in the NCAAT.

Did next to nothing at DePaul.

I thought he would be good at Illinois

Led Ohio with Clark Kellogs son with a win over Michigan in the tourney. Made the Sweet 16 I believe
