Interesting to watch how these games are unfolding with no off days. Pitchers (esp starters) getting a lot more leash in these games. Rays didn’t really use any of their best relievers in this one either

I dunno if I like it but it’s definitely different

Zero discussion bout this Yankees Rays game? Looks like NYY gonna take game 1. Is this gonna be their year?
I was looking for somewhere to post about it and I completely forgot about this thread.

Pretty damn good game, Yankees had to have that one it will probably be the only day they have the pitching advantage. Their offense is on another level right now, doing serious damage and working quality at-bats. Added benefit of the Stanton homer was they didn't have to waste Chapman's bullets, pun intended.

Are both Texas sites allowing fans today or just Arlington?

My goodness. Giancarlo homers in his 4th straight game to tie things up at 1

Manfred brought back the juiced balls, IMO.

Brutal inning defensively for Happ. Didn’t get over in time on a ground ball and then just spiked one at Voit’s feet

Happ is not good. Yankees have to resort to this opener strategy because they only have 2 good starters. Even with the advantage of the lefty heavy lineup, Happ couldn’t do a half-decent job.

Clevinger with the miraculous arm recovery, I wonder what his pitch count is for today.

I enjoy Joe Davis as a broadcaster, but I wonder how difficult it will be for him to not call this game with a Dodgers slant considering he does all their regular season games.
