I imagine a game ending at 3 am on the east coast didn't help things... the MLB goal needs to be 9 innings in 2:30

Having 3 of 5 games on Fri-Sat-Sun competing against football and other weekend plans doesnt help ratings.

Are you people retarded? The last 5 World Series started with game 1/2 Tues/Wed then 3/4/5 Fri/Sat/Sun then 6/7 Tues/Wed.

Before that they were 1/2 Wed/Thurs then 3/4/5 Sat/Sun/Mon then 6/7 Wed/Thurs.

Astros just have a much bigger draw than the small market Red Sox. Sucks for them but true
That's why mlb did their best to try to get the Astros into the WS, but the Red Sox were just too good.

NFL games last 3 hours. CBS college games last 4+ hours.

Problem is there was no good storyline like a team breaking a curse.

Everyone knew Kershaw and the Dodgers would choke again.

Just the fact that baseball produces so many programming hours to sell ads against is enough to keep it Hugely profitable even though it’s obviously losing its hold on the public consciousness.

The problem is, and baseball traditionalists will hate this, the games are way too slow and there's not close to enough scoring.

It's fricking boring watching a shite frick pitcher trying to pick off a guy 5 times before one pitch is thrown. They need to set a limit for each at bat or something because it slows the game unnecessarily.

I think it's just each generation is getting more and more impatient. It's all about instant gratification now. Nobody can sit still for 10 seconds and watch TV without something crazy happening every 10 seconds.

I love baseball but this match-up garnered zero interest to me personally so I'm not shocked.

I have 0 interest in the Dodgers. Would imagine the LA market has the same opinion.

Lebron played during some of those games.

Def took away any of that LA audience.

I have to admit I am not a big baseball fan..except for LSU. But in years past I at least knew that the World Series was being played. One night I sat down and checked and I had no idea who was playing..and next thing I hear Boston won...I don't remember any type of advertising.
