And yet every pitcher in baseball makes that play on a nightly basis
No. because the 1st baseman would just take it. You can’t with a straight face say that play isn’t taken by the 1st baseman routinely on a nightly basis

This shows Cole just quit even though he could have beat Mookie to the bag.

I have the gif right here

Cole would absolutely need to sprint. Rizzo is being taken to the bag and could have slowly taken 3 steps

100% Cole should have finished the play. But even more so rizzo should have made the even simpler play of taking it himself

Cole starts sprinting then slows because Rizzo can get to the bag faster and easier.

Rizzo fricked up

You can't make that assumption as a pitcher. I've never seen a pitcher do what Cole did.

Honestly, with how nonchalant Rizzo was on that play, I'm not sure he'd have made the throw in time if Cole even got to the bag

I’m sorry you defend that lazy Rizzo while Cole is throwing 100 pitches in the World Series and expect him to pitch and play 1st base.

Most non ignorant people agree that the pitcher should be there, but he wasn’t, Rizzo has to man up and atleast try to fricking hustle and make up for it. You don’t fricking sit there and cry like a little bitch and not atleast try. This is Rizzo’s fault 100% for not caring and trying when it didn’t go his way. You as a man have to beat up hill obstacles in life, when it doesn’t go your way, you can’t just sit there and fold like a rag

Maybe that shoulder injury is affecting him in the last 3. He seemed to be favoring his left arm walking off after that at bat.

Pitching matters and the Dodgers are screwed. Throwing game four was a bad move. CHOKEtani is a NoSho
