In the aftermath of left knee surgery, Boston Celtics All-Star guard Kyrie Irving will miss the rest of the regular season and playoffs, league sources told ESPN.

And just like that, CLE wins that trade.

Sucks for the playoffs. BOS is gonna win 55+ with no Hayward and 60 games of Kyrie. Brad Stevens is a God. There's not another team that could do that, other than GS obviously.

Only if Lebron stays, which is unlikely IMO.

Tough break for them. With the 2 seed locked up, imagine where Boston would be with a healthy Kyrie and Hayward. Stevens has them in a great spot for the next few years.

Is it almost a foregone conclusion now that ECF is Toronto vs Cleveland? Can Philly make some noise and pull off an upset?

guess a trade is successful when both teams get nothing.

If the Wiz Kidz end up with the Celts in the playoffs, no excuses to get passed them now.

It still doesn't help their case much. It just lessens the blow slightly.

Cavs got 2 players that are no longer on their team, a young center averaging 3 pts a game, and a very high pick that the Celtics don't really need.

I know they flipped IT and Crowder for some solid pieces, but Nance, Clarkson, and Hood are not Kyrie.
