Once he did that, he actually did the only thing he could that didn't involve guaranteeing Minnesota a FG opportunity. Had the ball placement not forced Diggs to contort his body and leap, it still would have worked.

So yeah he fricked up, but what he did was the right decision in the moment once the mistake was made. Had he gone high he drives through Diggs before the ball gets there, he tries to stop and he either falls putting on the brakes or Diggs gets OOB with three seconds left.

I’m not sure I could’ve handled a Saints vs Eagles nfccg. Thank goodness for that kid

But that's also the problem.

Way too aggressive by the Saints D in the final 10 seconds.

I know we all hate prevent D but that's when it's a minute 30 left.

Not 10 seconds.

Play soft, keep everything in front of you and just blanket the sidelines and deep deep goal middle. He shouldn't have had to run over to make that play...

Why is the last guy on D having to make that play? At the 40? Where's the help behind?

His mistake was not following tackling 101: keep your head up when you tackle.

Looked to me like he was going for the highlight reel instead of fundamental tackling. He is a frick up, great year notwithstanding.

Did he actually break on the ball? He never got within 5 feet of the ball.

Of course he did how else do you think he was in the tv screen? You think he was just standing there? It looked to me he pulled up trying not to hit Diggs before the ball got there and then it just compounded itself into what it became. What is the Corner doing though? He looks like he is just flat footed coming from behind. Then gets taken out by Williams.

Beat y'all's arse 3 times in one season and you still can't stop melting.

The mistake was him not realizing Diggs was 7 yards inbounds and he could let him make the catch. Breaking on the ball shouldn't have even been a consideration at that point.

No. Trying to make ESPN top 10 with a hit was the cause. He doesn't do that it's a textbook tackle

His mistake was putting his head down and closing his eyes.

Blame his Pop-Warner, High School, and college coaches (come on Utah, really?).

Basic fundamentals.

With a good throw, Diggs is catching the ball in stride at the sideline and going OOB with ease....

Which, knowing what happened, would have been better at this point

Looks to me like he blew right by Diggs. He was the last man there and needed to make the stop.
