And how would pairing DHoward and LBJ be a transition?
first off, Kobe bean and the king aren't going to play together. If LBJ heads to the left coast, Kobe is sent packing

Secondly, transition bc they'll have to completely overhaul the roster. Most contracts come off the books after next year. Will there be shooters and defenders ready to sign there immediately? Other than world peace? Better than battier, birdman, chalmers?

When bosh/LBJ joined wade in Miami, there were huge growing pains the first year. Ultimately, their talent overcame it, but the west is young and loaded. It won't be as forgiving.

Chandler 10/11 63% FG 1.1 blocks 18.88 PER
Lopez 19/7 52% FG 2.1 blocks 24.81 PER

Now which one is a team cancer and black hole on offense?

Oh and I noticed you conveniently left off assist, FT shooting and turnovers.

They will have Rondo and Bradley that alone is a better situation than the Lakers are in

yep, it's going to be painful. Should've started it a few years ago, but kept getting false hope playing well in the playoffs. Gotta admit it will be refreshing not hearing about how old/beaten down the team is when they lose a game....

And rondo is kinda a weird fit where he needs other scorers around him, he doesn't just create the offense himself. Maybe dealing rondo can jump start the rebuilding process

Smith would be a disaster in Houston

A ball hogging PF that jacks up threes doesn't fit with a ball dominating player like harden. I think the rockets would be great with a four out offense similar to what the magic ran with Howard, but smith doesn't have a shot filter like rashard Lewis did. Smith takes terrible shots

The rockets need low block scoring in the worst way, if not gasol then who do they get?

Great a pg and sg that can't shoot and no NBA caliber big men after kg retires

Celtics may trade rondo to rebuild

Bucks may move to Seattle instead of the kings, they will be the wildcard in all of this.

I don't think you'll find many Rockets fans thinking Pau is a long term answer. This is not Pau from 6-7 years ago they would be trading for... this is a guy with a lot of mileage

I hadn't thought about them making a play for DH as a free agent but it makes a ton of sense

Listen to the latest bs report with jalen and jacoby, they go into great detail

Insurance covers 80% of Kobe's deal, amnesty artest, resign DH and trade pau for youth and a trade exception

The lakers have tons of options the celtics have very little

And as far as gasol's miles this is true but two good years out of gasol would be huge for the rockets. I just don't see Howard going there but it could happen. The media will kill him if he leaves the lakers though.

Dallas has a pretty good shot at landing him.

The Mavs have the cap space, a laid back star that will let Dwight take the credit while doing the clutch scoring for him over the next few years, an owner that will pamper his arse to the Nth degree, a proven HC that, and a town that treats athletes like movie stars but won't ever come down all that hard on him b/c Jerry will always be enemy #1.

Dallas is a bad fit. Carlisle is too mean Dwight would be throwing fits every other week.

I really don't see why the ATL fans want Dwight so bad. Al Horford is a very good center and won't cause all the issues Dwight does. I think they have a lot of issues to fix other than the center position.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Dwight go to Houston though.

Oh and BTW Dwight is not the best center in league. He is black hole offensively, a bad teammate, a bad passer, and a fricking terrible free throw shooter.

Give me Gasol or Noah over Dwight in a heartbeat. Just compare the their collective playoff series right now to Dwight's.

I'm biased, but Gasol is the best center in the league. He is the best passing center, he can handle, he is deadly from midrange, DPOY, and he is a 85% free throw shooter. He is a very good rebounder, who's numbers would be better if he wasn't sharing the paint with Z-Bo. He basically runs their offense half the time from the free throw line.

I hope he stays with the Lakers. Very over rated player that can't win big games and isn't working to improve

1) he'd be the biggest basketball star here since Dominique was traded
2) he actually made it to the Finals with a good supporting cast (which the Hawks could put around him by just re-signing/ extending some of their upcoming FAs/ RFAs)

Horford doesn't want to be a center, and his game and Dwight's actually complement each other.

I'm almost talking myself out of my earlier "do not want" feelings, but I still don't want the drama Dwight brings. it'd be interesting though.

I think Atlanta has a lot of the same problems with Josh Smith the Grizzlies had with Rudy Gay.

He has the talent to be a star, but it is a terrible inefficient shooter.

I think when he leaves, Teague and Horford plus the pieces they have right now would be good to build around.
