Well they can't use the "eye test" this year, so it will default to the "two-time defending champ Georgia" test! Only sport where each new year is saddled with what happened before.

Alabama is theoretically the better team because they beat LSU,
Ole Miss and UGa - because the teams actually played on the field.

Alabama now kicks the shite out of September Alabama and Bama had the better wins and...better loss.

If Alabama wins tomorrow the deserve it.

I can't wait for the 12 team playoff. Let the 3 loss teams argue who should get in.

Yeah, kinda seems like any “Bama > Texas” logic can be used to support “UGA > Bama” as well
Alabama vs Texas is silly.

What logic is the committee using to put 12-1 Oregon in over 12-1 Alabama?

This is the big sticking point with Alabama fans right here. Why is Oregon ranked ahead of Texas? Why is Oregon ranked ahead of Alabama. If Alabama wins tomorrow against Georgia they will 100% deserve to be ranked ahead of Oregon.

Because Bama fans and stans and the media (redundant) are so used to getting their way and having the CFB world contort itself to find what ever standard benefits Bama they just can’t accept the possibility of it not working in their favor.

They just needed a Hail Mary to beat a 6 win team. They are still a very flawed team just like September

There’s always an excuse. Imagine someone trying to argue a team Bama beat is playing better now what Bama fans would say

Your hate for Bama is so obvious….. ok let’s say UGA had a Heisman type QB that played Bama tomorrow… would you root for a Bama win so Daniels would win the award????

If UGA had a Heisman candidate QB he would have played similar competition to Daniels and the result of that one game wouldn’t matter so much either way.

They looked terrible against UT
Looked avg vs USF
Purposely knocked out the nations best QB so they could beat LSU
NEEDED A “.01%” miracle to be where they are now

If it comes down to Bama and Texas and Texas gets in, I’ll be disappointed but I won’t argue against it.

Whatever scenario ends up playing out, I would like to see the committee be transparent about which factors were most important to them and what wasn’t so important. They’ve yet to offer any real explanation as to why Oregon has remained above Texas and Alabama, despite having a worse overall resumé than both.

I'm not the one whining because we're probably out of the playoff.

I also don't remember pretending we should be in the playoff with fricking two losses and no conference championship.

Well, if you’re going to paint the Alabama fan base with a wide brush, then I’m going to do it in return to the OSU fan base.

I haven’t made any “whining” posts about the playoff, other than to simply say that I hope Bama wins tomorrow and does get in.

I respect your thoughts and agree I’d like to see transparency from the committee.
