So is everyone in agreement it is a joke he finished ahead of LeBron in MVP voting?
I thought the Spurs weren't as good as their record indicated from Day 1, but I don't have a problem with Leonard over Lebron because it's a regular season award and wins do matter and should matter for these types of awards.

I will always be more surprised at him getting 14 more 2nd place votes than anything. Just couldn't fathom seeing a gap like that.

Ugh what? In no way shape or form is Leonard better than Lebron. In no way shape or form is he close to as valuable as Bron
First off he's a better defender and better shooter than Bron.
Plus they were separated by 3 points in the voting. You are acting there was some major gap there.

Lebron didn't lead his team to nearly as many wins as Leonard did for the Spurs. It's league MVP, not who is most valuable to their team. IF you look at the narrative of the entire league, the biggest stories were obvi Curry and Golden State (1), and the emergence of Leonard offensively and the Spurs record (2). Had CLE had a better regular season Lebron would have beaten him out easily it was very close as it is. Lebron was on every ballot, Leonard was left off by a handful or 2 ballots.

This is what I dont get. For people voting Leonard, if you sat them down 1 on 1, 99% would agree that
Lebron is better
Lebrons performance was better
Lebron is more valuable
Hell, I think even tbird would admit that
They just wanted a reason to vote Leonard 2nd because he had a coming out year. Same with the year Rose won MVP
Lebron is better
Lebrons performance was better
Lebron is more valuable
Hell, I think even tbird would admit that

21.2 pts/game 2.6assist/game 6.8 r/g 26.11 per 50%
And the fact that one is the clear cut motor that runs the team.
