Why is Fox CFB show at Oh State vs MARSHALL

SC is at Michigan, yet they decide that that nail-biter of Ohio State vs Marshall is their big highlight location?
It's akin to Gameday going to Alabama vs Furman and acting like it's a big game. It's just bizarre.

Because SC/Michigan is on CBS

Is the USC VS Michigan game on CBS? If so, that’s probably why.

Urban Meyer calls the shots.

And getting into an OSU's game is always good for ratings etc.

Utah/Ok State seemed like the pretty obvious choice

So Gary and Brad will be calling the USC-Mich game at 2:30? And that game gets the CBS CFB theme song?
I hate this timeline.

These pregame shows are openly choosing their sites to promote whatever game their network wants to carry.
It’s actually just a commercial for their premier network game of the week, rather than what we fans think it is which is a tv show that broadcasts from the biggest cfb game of the week.
The only exception is when you have a game so big it transcends the network alignments and they may choose to go there regardless of what’s best for their network game ratings.

Utah v Oklahoma State seems like the much better pick. But I guess they figure that Ohio State is a bigger draw than both those schools, even though everyone knows this is going to be a 40 point blowout.

This is probably Ohio State’s toughest game all season

Gameday goes to CBS games all the time.

The myth that a pregame show doesn’t go to a game because another network is airing it needs to stop

Big Noon Kickoff is almost always tied to whatever 11AM game Fox is airing.

I've jumped off the Big Noon show. The last two weeks all they talked about was the game they were at. Barely any mention of other games. Big Noon is just a long commercial lead-in to the game they are showing. Good d luck hyping OSU v Kent State.
At least GameDay talks about other games and Pat Mac brings some serious energy to the show.

Go POKES!
Plus, Stillwater is a much better location than Columbus.
