Yeah but that's just whatever. I'd rather the likes of a younger Kobe or a Durant than LBJ.
As a teammate?

If you value winning and you have 11 players, you're picking Lebron as your 12th...unless you use Larry Bird's messed up logic.

So much irony in this thread..

Choosing young Kobe to be a role model for kids over LeBron even though he was put on trial for rape. Awesome.

Stupid declarations that LeBron only does charity work through NBA cares and cameras. You don't even hear about the charity work he does through the Boys and Girls Club basically ever.

The article itself is a none story. Who gives a frick if he parties and acts stupid when he does so. Welcome to the life of a young famous rich male.

Some of you really need to get over stupid petty stuff. This was almost 2 years ago...

Translated to read:

I believe what i want to believe, and will be biased towards guys I don't like, even though I have no clue if I'm correct.

this is all I have to see to understand his character

1. What does it say about you that you believe everything you read on the internet, including something from a Bumpshack.com?

2. If everyone was judged on the 2 or 3 worst things we've ever done in our lives, we'd all probably be much bigger douches than lebron.

Oh damn. the OP is the guy who posted about it in the other thread.. Wow.

The other thread wasn't good enough? You needed a whole new thread for a 2 year old article that really is meaningless?

No it wasn't. Your dumb "Obvious PR is obvious" bs is all that was covered.

Maybe you need to do some google searches about how much charity work LeBron does and then compare it to your own and people you know.

If Lebron, Kobe, or Durant would be your 12th man, then I do not think it matters who you pick.

Sounds like the first 11 are good enough.

I think the Profootballfocus quote goes well here.

"If you took the top 3 plays and worst 3 plays by every player in a given season, they'd look like all-stars, and then look like they should be out of the league. Its the other plays in the year that really matter."

They are. There are a handful of posters that suck him dry and another handful that think he's satan.

These threads used to be funny, now they're just annoying.

So I haven't read the thread yet but is there anything interesting in here? The OP looks long as hell, is it worth the read? Any particular posts stand out?

TIA.

Disagree. I think it was much more a reflection of media culture at that time than his status as "The babe". Players at that time were protected by the media. Not outed by them. Fights, drinking, womaninzing, etc.. were acceptable at the time.

Ty Cobb would like a word with you. So would the Black Sox.
