Not a large enough sample size to make that statement for starters

And Newton started day one of his rookie year without the benefit of as many days in camp.

Tebow has a full year head start getting acclimated to the NFL.

For a real comparison look at how Cam does next year compared to how Tebow does this year.

No objective person could possibly think that Tebow is better at this point

LOL Tebow's played in one game, against a winless team. As for scoring the Panthers are 10th in total pts this season, if you look at their schedule there was only one game they should have won against AZ, the other losses were to Bears, Saints, Packers, Falcons, combined record: 21-8.

Cam Newton is a better QB because he can actually pass the ball. Tebow has never been a great passer.

although Cam has "looked" way better than Tebow to this point, this conversation does bring up an interesting point.

How would Tim Tebow look if he was given the reigns to an entire organization and asked to carry it? Instead, he's essentially been blackballed by his entire organization and told that he isn't as good as their squad team QB.

I don't think that Tebow has the passing ability to be successful in the NFL either. But, the Broncos have seemingly tried to put him in the best position to fail, while the Panthers have tried to actually help Cam succeed.

Well the passing thing has been discussed. Also, their running styles. Tebow used to truck D lineman and linebackers in college. Obviously that shite won't work in the NFL from a QB. Cam is big, but also elusive.

True. He didn't run through two defenders for his first NFL TD leaving one of them hurt. That just didn't happen. Notice how the Bengals defender gets up immediately. The NFL is too tough for Tebow. He'll definitely get hurt the first time he tries that college crap.

Yeah, Tebow is just a big slow TE running the ball. He couldn't ever make anyone miss or run for a TD longer than 2 yards.

That's just phooey. Cam has been getting big checks for the same amount of time that Tebow has

Stop being a dumbass and attributing a victory to an individual in a team game.

You mention Tebow's win are so impressive, but his wins in a team game were over shitty teams. Denver beat Houston when the Texans were in a fricking free fall last year and he beat Miami at Tim Tebow day. That is really not impressive at all. He is simply not that good.

If you want to further look at team stats (which is pointless), then Cam lost to Green Bay, NO, Atlanta, and Chicago who were all playoff teams last year and at least two, likely three, will be playoff teams this year. His only "disappointing" loss was to Arizona in his first NFL start. By the way, he also did not have nearly as much time as normal rookie QBs to practice with his team in the offseason. His results are remarkable. Do you realize how Carolina was last year and how they are now competitive this year? The huge bump in QB play is a major, major factor.

Carolina scored 16 TDs last year. All season.

This year, Newton has accounted for 15 TDs. Through 7 games.

The objective of an offense is to move the ball down field, during which you accumulate first downs and eventually score touch downs.

Newton has DRASTICALLY improved the Panthers' offense. Tebow's impact on Denver's offense? Not so much.

The Lord God is merely giving TT these bad times so that when TT is successful he will be better able to glorify, Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior.

Other than Olsen and Shockey, that offense returned just about everyone from last year's team. Hell, Carolina doesn't even use their RB's as much now that Newton is there.

Rookie quarterback Cam Newton has seven rushing touchdowns -- more rushing touchdowns than 22 entire NFL teams.

He also took over a team that failed to score more than 2 TDs in a single game last year and made them top 5 in total yards and top 10 in scoring.

For 55 minutes against the Dolphins (who aren't that great of a defense), Tebow was 4-14 for 40 yards. His offense was 0-10 on third down.

Everyone wants to point at those last 5 minutes and overtime, but they disregard that Miami was playing prevent defense when Tebow "rallied" his team.

Oh, and Tebow recovered the onside kick and kicked a 52 yard field goal, I guess...
