re: Why has Cam Newton been more successful than Tim Tebow in the NFL?

Is he? I haven't seen any proof of this.
Success in the NFL = winning games, making the playoffs, going to the pro bowl and winning the SB.
Neither has done any of that. Neither is successful yet.

Tebow
4 games started
1,076 total yards
9 TDs accounted for/3 INTs
2-2 record
Cam
7 games started
2,369 total yards
15 TDs accounted for/9 INTs
2-5 record
I fail to see how Cam Newton has been "much more successful" than Tebow in the NFL other than he looks prettier doing it. And you're full of shite if you don't think Cam has much more offensive talent around him.
Does Cam "look" like a better QB in all facets of the game? Yes.

Because Cam has played and Tebow hasn't.

That's right, I forgot that football was only one on one. FWIW, Vince Young is the best QB of all-time. Top percent winning
How exactly would you define success? Perhaps the question should be, "Why does Cam Newton have a worse career QB rating than Tebow?"

Exactly. You can criticize Tebow all you want about his throwing ability or what not and if he'll ever be a consistent QB doing what he does. But as far as "success" goes so far in the NFL, Tebow has done nothing but perform decently every single time he's played in a real game.

A raving endorsement

He's in a much better situation for one thing.

Well, I do prefer to look an overall scope of individual statistics than a stupid win-loss record. Also, Tebow is simply not a good NFL QB to date. He has completed less than half his passes in career. He is not very accurate. I actually even like Tebow, but I am logical enough to separate my emotions from my analysis.

Thats true, no one should argue that. But that is the only thing Cam has done better. Tebow still has as many passing TDs in 1/2 the attempts and 1/3 the ints. He has also been a better runner. So props to Cam for having a good completion rate, but I wouldn't say that makes him more successful at this point.

Because for some reason God loves Cam and hates Timmy.

Cam takes way more risks in the passing game and fricking connects a lot of the time. It is really impressive. He is going to have a couple multi-ints games, but he is putting up big numbers with a good amount of completions. He looks very composed, terrific out there.

Woohoo!!! Tebow is also a better runner than Tom, Drew, and Aaron.

But it does. The object of the QB is to complete passes that will help his team move the ball in a positive direction.

Because he is a better athlete and a better passer?

They're both big and athletic and had a lot of success in college. Is Tebow not smart enough? Does he lack work ethic? What is it?
Cam has a MUCH MUCH better throwing motion and an extremely strong arm. Cam can make all the NFL throws. TT cannot.

Considerably more physical talent.

Cam had the benefit of being a pro college athlete.

White people are too stupid to be quarterbacks.

The object is to score and win. Tebow does it better.
