game 1 in 1994 loses 10 Million viewers from previous years game 1 with Jordan in it.

and 17M viewers is still the highest rated event that day. Trust me the sponsors knew the ratings would be lower, and again look at who sponsors the NBA on tv. the NBA finals is but a small part of their advertising budget. Something not having as big of an impact is not the same as them taking a financial hit.

It means alot less people were watching. Like millions less any way you sugar coat it.

I'm not sugar coating, you just understand what that means in terms of advertising for massive. Most people can't wrap your heads arounds large numbers. 12M less people watched the Finals last year than 1994, again i ask are they doing worse now? If they took a big financial hit from 93 to 94 like you say, they should be much less successful now.

Well I dont want to speak out of school on these things, but there were alot of funny Jordan nights on the town in the Magic city in the Barons days from college aged folks living around them parts at the time. Particularly at gentleman's clubs and other nefarious locations. From all accounts he enjoyed the nightlife there and enjoyed being MJ.

Burnout and his dad dying pushed it over the edge, if a secret suspension really occurred, it would’ve leaked out by now it’s been almost 3 decades. The fact it hasn’t and anything related to that time only amounted to unsubstantiated rumors likely establishes that wasn’t the case.

Look at the ratings a little deeper. The highest rated game of the 93 finals was game 6 with per wiki 32.8M viewers, that's slightly less than the UNC-Fab Five NCAA title game and less than regular weeks of Home Improvement and the 4/26/93 NBC Movie of the week
1993

Game 7 of the 94 Finals was 26.1, that's not that big of a drop off relatively speaking and still lower than Home Improvement.

No surprise Lefans would put out lies and innuendo to smear another man for your cause. It’s what you type of people do best. LeBron included.

Y'all just are not working with me here. Some of y'all just have your noses wide open to anything 30 for 30 puts on the air. The possibility of things that could have happened are endless. How bout this one, after a wild night of partying 23 somehow gets hooked up with Rod Thorns underage daughter, gives her a gapper and accidentally crushes her cervix. Underage wealthy white girl, drinking, sex, maybe drugs. A very slippery slope.

A year later, baby is clipped. body areas are reconstructed. Girl still goes Ivy league. Jordan is ok to comeback. Now that is a story I could get behind.

He got tired of the media scrutiny in basketball. Channeled his competitiveness back towards baseball but it didn’t work out.

Also, his dad was robbed and murdered, I can’t imagine going through that while on top of the world.

It’s not much more complicated than that.

I am still unconvinced. The reason why there are contracts in sports is so people cant just up and leave on a whim. Thats exactly what happened here though with the most valuable player in terms of revenue any sport has ever seen. It just doesnt add up. There had to be cause to void the contract. If not Jordan should be singing praises to the front office and Krause in particular for letting him go and come back as he pleased.

His gambling got his father kidnapped for ransom then killed.

The guilt would make a man quit basketball and play the sport his father loved; baseball.

This is false.

I literally remember the lexus sports car they left at the scene when the news reported the abduction.

His father was kidnapped. He wasn't robbed. They didn't care about the car or his father's watch ir wallet.

They cared about the significant amount MJ owed from gambling and apparently wanted to force him to pay up.

He didn't and they killed the man and dumped his body days later.

Maybe for whatever reason he assaulted Krause at the building. I dont understand why everybody had a problem with that guy. It made everyone who talked bad about him look really low class. Kraus went out of his way to accomodate everyone of them and cover for their screwups. They are all bums for speaking ill of the dead the way they do on the show. Publicly berating a front office that pretty much let everyone do whatever they wanted doesnt add up either.
