I think there will be a legit debate. Yes, the SEC had 3 teams in the mix going into yesterday, but most of the rest of the conference is garbage. More outright bad teams than I can ever remember.
So Alabama's best win is over a 9-3 LSU team. That will be discussed and it will be a factor and IMHO there will be a significant debate.

If we’re talking Eye Tests, Auburn has a more impressive resume than Alabama. Auburn played 3 games against the top five and was rewarded by having to come back and play one of those teams again for the conference championship. Bama lost their only game against the top five team they played and was rewarded by sitting at home not worrying about playing themselves out of a championship.

This. fricking this. If there weren't conference title games, Auburn and Wisky would be in the playoff.
OSU had to play an extra game and came out successful. Bama shouldn't get a mulligan because other teams had to play and they didnt.

It’s a debate because neither of these teams deserve to be in the playoff, AT ALL, but due to our idiotic svnchofant sports media and biased playoff committee, one of them will get in.
The answer is right in front of all of us: put neither of them in. There is only one undefeated team in all of college football. Heck the AAC was arguably better than the Pac 10 and Big 10 this year! Put in UCF!

Bana’s Best win is a three loss LSU that’s only win of value was Auburn.
