This was a weird play. Some think Lawrence had a bet on something

It was odd. In that situation, you take the score. What if Tuten or another player gets injured on the next play? Shaving some extra time on the clock when you're up that big makes no sense.

The back up QB had information that he was really Russ Holliday. In order to keep his identity a secret the “Trevor” agreed he wouldn’t score a rushing TD so the back up QB could cash in on a Kalshi bet.

Trying to run a little more clock in a game with a comfortable lead, but it was perhaps a little more time on the clock than you would typically want to intentionally pass up a TD. He said as much after the game.
Nothing more to it. Lawrence doesn’t seem like the gambling type anyway - nor stupid enough to bet on NFL games (much less his own) even if he were.
