Wouldn't it be easier and more fair for both teams? We certainly wouldn't have any ties. The Brown's would actually win more games lol. It would be a lot more fun to watch.

I like college OT, but most people think it's a sideshow and the equivalent of penalty kicks.

While fun, the NCAA overtime isn’t real football

My optimal system would be play a normal game under the premise “if you have the lead and the ball, you win”

Means you have a chance to answer any score from the opposition (sans a safety, which would end the game)

NFL should do CFB overtime but put the ball at the 50

College overtime but start at midfield. Makes each team have to get a first down to have a shot at a FG

I would start the possession at midfield (the 25 turns it into a FG kicking contest). (Actually I think college football should start at the 35 or 40)

NFL should go back to sudden death and 15 minute quarters. Alot simpler and very very few bullshite ties.

No. The bullshite conservative "let's get it in FG range and kick it" teams that would win the coin toss was not right.
The system is fine as is, maybe extend to to fifteen minutes instead. But if teams can't create separation in that much time, then a tie is warranted.

Pros score at will.
It’s fine the way it is. Except go back to 15 min qtr

And those people would be 100% correct.

College football should start at the 40 anyways. Make it so you have to get a 1st down to have a decent field goal chance.
