In that case rank OU above Texas.

Do you not see the fallacy here?

If Oklahoma doesn't lose 3 straight after beating Texas, then yeah, rank OU above Texas

bullshite, Bama got stomped at home by Texas.

Point of order: Alabama had the lead in the fourth quarter. That's not "stomping" by any stretch of the imagination.

You mean like how you completely disappeared from the board after the Michigan game?

That wasn’t the score of the Michigan game.

My point was that SEC >>> Big 12.

That point shouldn’t even be argued, especially on a SEC board.

it’s like you guys have never seen a team be ranked higher than a team they lost to before. That happens all the time because rankings aren’t based on one game. Crazy I know.

Really shouldn’t happen when the have identical records are vying for one spot. No way Bama should be in over Texas

Your point was stupid last year and it’s still stupid this year.

What was the score of the Michigan-tcu game?

Not when it comes to comparing Bama vs Texas. The whole point of resumes is to provide data on who should be ranked over who. Well, there is no cut-and-dry data point than the two teams playing each other.

Right. Texas beat Bama by two scores on its home field. If both have identical 12-1 records, Texas win should absolutely end the discussion.

Now, had say, Bama lost by 1 point at Texas, there might be some wiggle room.

Hopefully, UGA just shuts this ridiculous talk down. But we’ve seen the power of SEC officials and the REC rear it’s ugly head before.

There’s no logical explanation why Bama’s loss to Texas matters “more” than Texas’ loss to OU, or why Texas’ win over Bama should matter “more” than a Bama win over UGA.

because in literally every tie-breaking scenario in organized sports, Head to Head is always listed first.

and once the tie is broken, you quit going down the tie breakers list.

1. Head to Head result

tie is broken.
discussion over.

It’s literally why we play sports on a field or a court.

The two teams play, one wins another loses. The team that one goes above the team that lost. Since the beginning of time.

“Head to head is the determinative factor!”

“So OU should be ranked ahead of Texas?”

“That’s different! You have to look at the whole resume!”
