In addition to the obvious answers already covered, men will fight on behalf of their teammates, regardless of race or anything else. The black lesbians aren’t gonna stand up for the white girls.
Cc is the star of her team and arguably the face of the league and gets beat up on a regular basis and no one on her team will stand up for her except for Cunningham

Men can generally get along and even if they hate another player they generally aren’t dumb enough to frick up the bag for some get back… women hate each other and they will got to great lengths to tear each other apart no matter how much it fricks up the money. The WNBA is just the Real Housewives of wherever on a basketball court.

It did happen before back in the 70s. Rudy Tomjanovich got punched by Kermit Washington, almost killed him. NBA acted severely and players will get super punished for anything remotely like it. Its not worth the hassle. Plus most NBA players suck at fighting. None of them really want to fight.

1. Men are generally more capable of putting differences aside for mutual benefit.
2. Female sports need some kind of context or novelty, especially in a sport like basketball, for anyone to pay attention. You could go watch a higher level of play and athleticism than the WNBA in many high school gyms. The WNBA players know this (whether they admit it or not) and possibly stir up some shite on purpose just to draw attention.

Larry Bird was the face of the league and there was absolutely a minority percentage of the black players who resented him for it. Either they realized quickly to respect him or Larry punched them in the face and scored 40 on them.
